A couple of new design patent could shape the future directions of Samsung devices in the global market, which includes the United Kingdom. The first tablet is associated with foldable tablet design and we could hopeful that device with such form factors will soon see the light of day. Unlike earlier foldable models; the tablet has no seam at the middle, which won’t interrupt user experience when the device is deployed at full dimension.
Another patent simply improves the traditional tablet design, without adding anything too radical. When implemented, UK consumers could get tablet models with more oval design and the actual screen panel reaches the edges. This would take on the increasingly more popular curved design. Because tablets are bigger and less portable than standard smartphones, bezels are something consumers would like to see go away.
Curved, foldable or whatever we want to call these design; tablets would soon adopt more flexible designs. Many of us have dreamt of full-sized devices that are pocketable when folded. Some are also hoping to see a curved tablet with screens on both sides. Sure, foldable and curved tablets are neat; but they could require some durability tests before deployed in the market. Foldable tablets must be folded hundred thousand times and curved models are subjected to specific durability tests, before we could call them real-world products.
