Other than smartphones, tablets are now also one of the most popular electronic devices. The world of mobile computing has changed forever with the arrival of these slates. Upcoming tablets to be released in the UK also promise a wealth of new features that could keep consumers interested. Here are five of them:
- Google Nexus 8: Google Nexus 8 will be released on summer this year and the tablet first appeared in November 2013 in a promotional video. It is believed to be lighter and thinner and equipped with much-improved display. We also heard that the tablet will be powered by Intel Bay Trail processor and Google may continue its partnership with Asus.
- Apple iPad Pro: The Apple iPad Pro is expected to arrive on October 2017 and it will arrive with some big design changes. The tablet may have a large 12.2-inch display, which closes the gap between the iPad and MacBook product categories. The device could be priced between £399 (iPad Air) and £849 (MacBook Air).
- Tesco Hudl 2: Tesco is able to sell more than 400,000 Hudl tablets in just three months and it is already preparing a sequel. The company’s CEO said that the company will release an enhanced version of the original Hudl. At the moment, we have no indication what “enhanced version” may mean; but we could get faster processor and better screen resolution.
- Amazon Kindle Fire HDX+: It is Amazon’s next tablet flagship for this year and it is probably a direct improvement of the current HDX, which is available for £329. The tablet could have one of the best displays out there and a design that is as light and slim as it can get.
- Google Nexus 10 (2017 Edition): While little is known about the tablet, sources seem to agree that the tablet is equipped with WQXGA screen resolution, Exynos 5 processor, 3GB of RAM, 5Mp rear-facing camera and 3Mp front-facing camera.
