Amazon UK has knocked £25 off any Kindle Fire tablet models this weekend. This means, users could get the Kindle Fire HD 8GB for as low as £94. The offer will end in January. The 7-inch Kindle Fire HDX with 16GB of internal storage is now available for £174, while the 32GB version is at £204 and £234 for the 64GB version. It should be noted that most users may not need large amount of storage on the Kindle Fire, because they could immediately stream latest movies from Lovefilm.
Consumers who need bigger models for their nightly in-bed watching sessions could choose the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9-inch, which is currently available for £304. The large HD model is only £154, because it already lost £50 from the earlier price drop. To enable the discount, users can enter the “MAYDAY25” code at the checkout form. All Kindle Fire Tablets qualify for free delivery to consumers’ address.
Overall, £94 for an entry-level Kindle Fire model isn’t too bad at all, because specs-wise, it is relatively comparable to the Tesco Hudl, currently available for £119. As alternative, Amazon sells the more powerful Nexus 7 16GB at £199.
