FCC’s newly published document mentions the TM-0043-BV, which is quite likely a Sony-made tablet. Codenamed Castor, the tablet will be available in the next quarter. Very little is known about the tablet; but like the high-end Xperia Tablet Z, it could be a dust-proofed and water-resistant model.
It’s the first time we heard about the tablet and Sony’s fans in the United Kingdom would be quite excited to hear about it. It would be great if the tablet turns out to be the Xperia Z2. It is also likely that the tablet is equipped with a sufficiently large 10-inch display. The Castor is expected to arrive initially in Japan, but appearance on FCC could suggest a future availability in the United States. Again; this could indicate a global availability of the tablet, including the United Kingdom.
Regardless of the phone’s true identity; we could obtain more details about the phone quite soon, because the MWC 2014 event is just right around the corner. We should keep both of our eyes peeled for additional information from Sony; since early months of the year is a good opportunity for any major device manufacturer to introduce upcoming tablet models of the year.
